SUMMER CLASSICS® INTRODUCES SEDONA FOR 2009
Ocean Category gets an addition
MONTEVALLO, Ala, January, 2009 – In September of 2007, Summer Classics, one of the leaders in outdoor furnishings, unveiled a new industry category called Ocean. This category includes products designed for direct ocean front use and the harshest of direct weather environments. Three furniture Collections were added to this category for 2009: Lagos, Yacht, and Sedona.
Sedona
On the perimeter of the Grand Canyon, along the winding Colorado River sits the city of Sedona. Our Sedona is a 1960’s reinterpretation in N-dura™ resin of a material called Seca, which was a reed used to achieve a braided, thick wicker. Sedona features our romantic European height dining collection. Made from a 6mm hand-woven, round, N-dura™ resin in Black Walnut and Pecan finishes. Patent Pending.
Sedona Collection includes Sofa, Loveseat, Lounge Chair, Large Swivel Glider, Ottoman, Coffee and End Tables with choice of glass or granite inserts. Euro Height Dining Chair, Euro Height Swivel Glider, Chaise Lounge, Large and Small Pet Beds. Sedona may be used with any of Summer Classics Table Collections. Upholstery options from our exclusive Colores™ Fabric Collection or COM. Decorative edging and embroidery options available.
Ocean
Modeled after the Florida five year architectural durability standard, called the “Florida-5,” this category is ideal for beach front contract applications. After 3 years of formulation for realism and ultra-violet ray resistance, Summer Classics, working with one of the largest European chemical companies in the world has developed the most realistic and extensive UV resistant protocol in the industry, culminating in the new N-dura resin wicker. N-dura™ Resin Wicker is guaranteed to last 4000 hours in direct sunlight and not experience any significant color change for 5 years. "New technology has revolutionized product durability. Nothing is like this in the industry.” said Summer Classics owner, Bew White. Heath Park, quality control manager said, “When we sent our products off to quality testing labs, they thought our quality standards were too high. So we built our own.”
